Today is November 8th, 2022 … Election Day in the U.S.
If you have already voted, thank you.
If you have not voted, please go to your voting station and VOTE today.
Now you can vote on the all-important new name for DougL’s Rumination Blog. The future of democracy depends on it.
On November 4th I sent out an appeal to readers for suggestions to rename the DougL’s Rumination Blog. Eleven suggestions came in. Then I discovered that SubStack had a polling capability, so instead of relying on my own good judgement, I decided to tap into the better judgement of the Blog’s reader base.
Once again, the new short description that will accompany the newly named blog on Substack will be:
Timely insights and practical advice for entrepreneurs, founders, CEOs and executives, staff, advisors, board members and investors who work for or with a startup or set of startups. In addition, these blog posts are written from an insider’s perspective and based on an operator’s experience. The aim is to provide a deeper understanding of the impact of operational and personnel decisions, venture funding, financial markets, economics, technologies and trends on startups. This blog was written for anyone interested in startup businesses, technologies and people in mind.
SubStack’s polling template only has 5 slots for candidates. So after a lot of thinking, these are the 5 candidates that I selected for this election. (I want to point out that two other * highly * worthy candidates – Levin's Lessons and Startup Levitation – were among the suggestions that were sent in but did not make the cut.)
The offer still stands: The person coming up with the name that wins this election will get a bottle of something.
Looking forward to your votes.
Doug, your blogs are more like a Playbook, not Lessons learned. You are a Playmaker, and a Playwright in your own right!
